After Update to Windows 7 my UAD2 does not work anymore.

What can I do?

A problem with old UAD2 using under Windows 7 has been identified. UAD2 with serial number 181xxx are affected. An affected UAD2 shows serial number '-1' and no communication is possible. To solve that problem  a new loader software for the UAD2  must be programmed. Following steps has to be proceeded:

  1. Use an PC with Windows XP operating system
  2. Install an UDE  with minimum version 3.0.3. (Version 3.0.2 with an additional patch could be used, ask This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for details)
  3. Connect the affected UAD2 and open a UDE workspace
  4. Let the Loader update proceed
  5. Check minimum Loader version 2.26.2 in device manager property page
  6. After successful finishing the steps above the UAD2 works under Windows 7 as expected
