What is the purpose of the "Linux Kernel initialisation" HTML page and what does the parameters mean?

The Target specific HTML page must be used to initialize the Linux kernel BEFORE it is started by the UDE.

The Linux kernel itself uses these parameters to get important target specifications and the kernel commmand line.
Normally this initialization is done by the boot loader.

Overview of the Linux kernel initialisation parameters:

Boot Type:

• initrd (load the RootFS from an initial RAM disk image)

• nfs (load the RootFS from a remote host via Network File System)

Initial Registersettings:

• R0 (must be 0)

• R1 (unified machine id (see arch/<arch>/tools/mach-types))

• R2 Start address of ATAG List

Physical Memory Start Adress:

• ATAG_MEM (phys. Start and length of RAM)
