While launching the Universal Debug Engine (UDE), the connection to the Universal Access Device (UAD) cannot be established. What may be the reasons ?

  • power supply fails ( Voltage 12 to 35 Volts DC, 0.5A (1A for OCDS L2))
  • wrong or missing communication cable to the host ( parallel port or IEEE1394 port)
  • dongle on the same port (see also Hints for dongle user)
  • Universal Access Device not running ( the green LED behind is not blinking)
  • wrong driver installation
