Installation
The UDE requires
- Microsoft Windows™ compatibel Personal Computer
- Pentium® III (or higher) processor running at 700MHz (or more) with 256MByte RAM
- Pentium®
4, Pentium® M, Celeron®, Athlon™, Athlon™ 64 (X2), Core™ 2 Duo or Core™
2 Quad (> 1,4GHz) with 512MByte RAM recommended
- Operating System Microsoft Windows™ 2000 (SP4), Windows™ XP, Windows™ Vista
- Microsoft Windows™ XP (SP2) or Windows™ Vista recommended
- Microsoft .NET™ Framework 2.0
- Microsoft Scripting Host V5.6 required for scripting support
- Microsoft Internet Explorer® 6.0 or higher
- Adobe® Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher
- 200 MByte space on local hard-disk
- CDROM drive for installation
- Administrator permissions for the current login during installation.
Start the UDE CD Browser (CDROM\Setup.exe) or install UDE via the
UDE Setup Program (Setup.exe).
It is recommended to install Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 before installing UDE.
Some components of UDE (e.g. the new front end UDEVisualPlatform.exe) require
Microsoft .NET 2.0 runtime environment. When installing UDE from CD-ROM the .NET 2.0
runtime is installed by UDE setup. Otherwise the user has to install .NET 2.0 runtime
before using the .NET based UDE components.
When you start the debugger for the first time you should create a new workspace and
select one of the prepared configuration files. Please use the manual and online
tutorials for the next steps.
Limitations
This demo software is a Starter Kit version for XC166.
It is limited to load, program FLASH and execute up to 16 kByte code size.
